I play poker for money with friends now and again, but nothing more than £200 buy-in each, however before about two weeks ago I’d never played online poker.
There’s something about playing against someone that you cannot see that puts me off. Now I’m not saying that an opponent will cheat, or can cheat. I just feel being able to watch your opponent live and read his tells, make it easier to play.
I might be wrong but surely playing online require more mathematical skills, in terms of analysing your opponent’s tendencies, like when they raise in a hand, how often they fold before the flop. that sort of thing.
But like I said about two weeks ago I decided to give online poker a try when I came across an advert for PKR.com
They’re supposedly the best online poker site on the web, and i can tell you they don’t disappoint. After about an hour of setting everything up including my avitar. I was away and playing in different tournaments.
When playing on PKR the cartoon style graphics are so good it gives you the illusion your actually playing at a table. A lot better than what i had previously expected.
I guess thanks to PKR.com I’ve been converted and now pay a few hands online when I’m feeling a bit lucky.
PKR.com is definitely a site i would recommend.
